3rd NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF COMHAD 2022, BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, INDIA, 16 - 18 DECEMBER 2022

The 3rd National Conference of COMHAD 2022, the Mega Academic Event was held on 17th and 18th December 2022 with pre-conference workshops on 16th December 2022 at Bengaluru.

The conference was organized by the COMHAD India Chapter under the auspices of COMHAD International along with many philanthropic organizations mainly Divecha Centre for Climate Change Indian Institute of Science, at J N Tata Auditorium situated in the same campus known as IISc.

The theme of the conference was “Bridge the Gap – Empower Inclusion, Create Integrated Approach to Prevent Childhood Disabilities”.

The academic sessions started with pre-conference workshops on 16th December 2022 in Ramaiah Medical College on “Developmental Monitoring & Surveillance-Hand on training” & other on “Inside the Adolescent Brain – Screening for Mental Health” to update the knowledge of delegates for the benefit of society. The total delegates attending workshops were about 110.

The main conference on 17th and 18th December 2022 was full of academic bonanza as Interactive sessions, panel discussions and scientific deliberations by various National renowned faculty members.

In addition, there were a galaxy of Guest speakers from all over India in the field of disability and rehabilitation to share their knowledge and experience.

It was a memorable scientific feast to be cherished in future by the attending delegates.

In the afternoon there was a conference inaugural function. The conference was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Honorable Dr Sudhakar Health Minister Govt of Karnataka and Chief Guest Prof. Satheesh S K Chairman of Divecha Centre for Climate Change, HOD Centre for Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences, Dean of Infrastructure, Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru.

The Chief Guests assured to work hand in hand with COMHAD for the welfare projects for the benefit of the community.

On this occasion the conference Souvenir was released at the hands of Dr Yashwant Patil International President COMHAD.

This was followed by a felicitation function. On this occasion Dr Yashwant Patil International President COMHAD UK and Dr Uday Bodhankar Executive Director COMHAD were felicitated by IAP Bangalore at the hands of National President Elect of IAP Dr Basavaraja GV for their accomplishments in Pediatrics for the welfare of society.

COMHAD UK felicitated the organizing committee members of this conference who worked hard with dedication and sincerity for the grand success of the conference, and recognized the presence of newly inducted office bearers of COMHAD International body – 2022-2024 and some prominent dignitaries.

In the evening during General Body Meeting of COMHAD India Chapter Dr Usha Dave Medical Geneticist & Neuroscientist and President Indian Society for Prenatal Diagnosis & Therapy - ISPAT 2021-2023 from Mumbai was elected as National President of COMHAD India Chapter for the years 2023-2024.

On the second day of conference after the scientific sessions were over, the conference ended with valedictory function and appreciating comments by the delegates and vote of thanks by the Secretary COMHAD India Chapter Dr. G N Madhu.

The Scientific content was appreciated by most of the delegates.

It was a very successful conference attended by about 300 delegates from every corner of the medical and social field working for the welfare of specially challenged children from all over India.
