This was a great achievement. Our Secretary General Dr Uday Bodhankar attended and was invited by Patron of Commonwealth Foundation Her Majesty Hon’ble Queen Elizabeth II on 28 th April 2009 for celebration of 60 th year of Commonwealth Foundation at London UK.
WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY CELEBRATION – 2 nd APRIL 2010, NAGPUR, INDIA
We started with activities for the disabled by taking part in the rally organized for awareness of Autism in general public on 2 nd April 2010 at Nagpur, India on the eve of World Autism Awareness Day. About 1000 autistic children and their parents and their caretaker doctors took part in this gigantic rally displaying posters, banners etc. to make the public aware. This was in association with the parent’s organization of autistic children named as “VISWAS”.

COMHAD was represented by Prof Md. Sirajul Islam for 63 rd World Health Assembly & Commonwealth Health Ministers Meeting held at Geneva on 16 & 17 May 2010. He met various personalities of Commonwealth Foundation and WHO during this event.
Free Measurement & Distribution Camp of Aids & Appliances for Persons with Disabilities, Nagpur, MS, India, 2 July 2011.
Distribution Camp of Aids & Appliances for selected Persons with various Disabilities (Physically
handicapped, hearing impaired, mentally retarded, cerebral palsy, learning disability, autistic persons and people with multiple disabilities) was organised at Blind Relief Association/Blind School Hall, South Ambazari Road, near Dikshabhoomi, Nagpur on 2 July 2011 under the banner of COMHAD UK. This Distribution Camp was organized with reference to Free Measurement Camps held on 28 to 30 January 2010 at Blind Relief Association Hall and other camp held on 29 June 2011 to 1 July 2011 at Wankar Sabha Gruh, Nandanvan Mental Retarded Workshop near Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya Near Dikshabhoomi Nagpur.
The selected persons with various disabilities were benefitted with free Aids and Appliances as per their need and prevailing disability. The distribution was done at the hands of Hon. Shri Mukulji Wasnik, Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India New Delhi and Dr Uday Bodhankar Secretary General COMHAD UK. The Aids and Appliances were sponsored by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India New Delhi under the scheme of ADIP and COMHAD was generous to contribute some amount to organize the event.

9th NCDC CONFERENCE & COMHAD SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM , NAGPUR, MS, INDIA, 14-16th SEPTEMBER 2012.
COMHAD Scientific Symposium was organized in association with 9 th National Childhood Disability Conference with preconference workshops. The event was held on 14 th 15 th and 16 th September 2012 at Nagpur, India. The theme of the conference was “Challenges to Opportunities Together We Can”. The conference was inaugurated at the hands of Hon. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India Shri Mukul Wasnik on 15 th September 2012, in presence of Hon Minister Government of Maharashtra Shri Rajendra Mulak. The international faculties were Dr. Catherine Macclain, Dr Patrica Osbourne, Dr Gauri Bhusari (UK), and Dr Waheeda Pagarkar. Other faculties and participants were from COMHAD, Pediatricians from Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Community physicians, Neurologist, ENT Specialist, Neuro-developmental specialists, and para-medicals. About 500 delegates were present. Scientific deliberations were excellent and were applauded by all.

Continuing Rehabilitation Education Programme on “Inclusive Education” was held on 26 th & 27 th February 2017 at Mumbai, MS, India. Total beneficiaries were 80 including Physiotherapists and Developmental therapists.

Workshop on Fighting Challenges for Disabled Children was conducted with the help of UNICEF for the Medical Officers working at Primary Health Centre and District Hospital on 15 th April 2017 at Nagpur, MS, India.
WORKSHOP ON SURGICAL INSIGHT IN MANAGEMENT OF SPASTICITY, NAGPUR, MS, INDIA, 28 MAY 2017.
This is a yearly activity of COMHAD conducted by our esteemed member Dr Viraj Shingade Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon on 28 th May 2017 at Children Orthopedic Care Institute, Besides Haldiram, Ajni square, Wardha Road, Nagpur, MS, India. Dr Sanil Koyili Occupational Therapist and Dr Urmila Dahake Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician were Co-coordinators for this workshop. It was live presentation demonstrating operative skills. Workshop was attended by 112 beneficiaries such as Physiotherapist, Neurologist, Developmental therapist, Orthopedic surgeon and Pediatricians.
CRE PROGRAMME ON PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY, NAGPUR, MS, INDIA, 15 JULY 2017.
Continuing Rehabilitation Education Programme on “Psychological Intervention for Children with Developmental Delay” was held on 15 th July 2017 at Indian Medical Association Hall Nagpur, MS, India. Total 99 people beneficiaries got educated with hands on training.
HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP, AT KHAPARDE FARM HOUSE, WADEGAON , UMRED ROAD , TAHSIL UMRED, DIST. NAGPUR, 2nd AUGUST 2017.
Health check-up camp was organized with the help of NGO’s. Health check-up along with distribution of medicines and some rehabilitation equipment were made to the needy beneficiaries.
