Webinar on Environmental Measures to Prevent Backache and Arthritis Problem, was organized by the COMHAD India Chapter in association with Divecha Centre for Climate Change Indian Institute of Science and Lakeside Education Trust, Bengaluru on 28 July 2022, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India on Virtual platform, on the occasion of Arthritis Awareness month.
The programme started with welcome speech by Prof. J. Srinivasan Director of DCCC IIs. Followed by Prof Dr H Paramesh introduced the chairperson and speaker and gave introductory remarks.
The Guest Speaker was Dr. B.G Dharmanand, Rheumatologist, Vikram / Manipal Institute of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology Bengaluru, and President of Indian Rheumatology Association.
Chairperson Dr Chandrashekar R. Orthopaedician, Director Raj Mahal Vilas Hospital Bengaluru gave excellent closing summary of the talk and conducted question-answer session. Vote of thanks was given by Dr G N Madhu, National Secretary COMHAD India Chapter.
The total beneficiaries were about 30.

The Guest Speaker was Dr. Ravi Gopal Varma, Director, Aster Global Institute of Neurosciences at Aster Hospital, Former Professor and Head of Neurosurgery since 2008 at Ramaiah Medical College, Initiator of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program for Parkinson’s Disease in NIMS Hyderabad, Former member of Board of Studies NIMHANS for 3yrs, Visiting Professor at Raman Research Institute.
The programme was moderated by Prof Dr H Paramesh. He gave excellent closing summary of the talk and conducted question-answer session. Vote of thanks was given by Dr G N Madhu, National Secretary COMHAD India Chapter.

COMHAD Diwali Celebration with Difference with Specially Challenged Children, Belishop, Nagpur, MS, India, 23 October 2022.
Commonwealth Association for Health and Disability an international organization from United Kingdom celebrated Deepavali with orphans and specially challenged children.
The Diwali Milan was organized in the ancient Shiva Temple located at Belishop Railway Colony, Kamptee Road Nagpur 440004, on Sunday dated 23 rd October 2022, under the joint aegis of Belishop Ancient Shri Shiv Mandir, Ganpati Sena Utsav Mandal and Shri Durga Puja Committee.
On this occasion, more than 50 students of Shri Anath Seva Ashram, Ashok Chowk, Nagpur and Rashtra Mata Manovikas Akshay Kshetram, Sugatnagar Nagpur were present.
Dr. Yashwant Patil, International President of COMHAD UK was the Chief Guest and , Dr. Uday Bodhankar Executive Director of COMHAD presided the function.
Dr. Manjusha Giri (Jain), Joint Secretary COMHAD, Shri S. Navneet Singh Tuli, Director of Guru Nanak Institution, Yoga Therapist Dr Vijay Gupte, Former Corporator Shri Sandeep Sahare were Guests of Honour.
Shri Vishwajit Dey of Durga Puja Committee, Shri Dipankar Pal of Ganpati Sena Utsav Mandal, Shri Virendra Jha, Shri P. Krishna Murali Pandey, Shri Prakashrao (Gundurao), Naturopathy and Yoga Therapist Dr. Pravin Dubli, Shri Manish Naidu were prominently present.
All distinguished dignitaries were welcomed with shriphal and angavastra.
On the occasion of Deepawali Milan, all the present students and girls were given the items of daily needs, clothes and in addition wind-sheeters were given to the mentally weak students. Sweets were also distributed to all the students and members present.
Similarly, 50 chairs were presented to Rashtramata Manovikas Akshay Kshetram on behalf of Late Tejinder Kaur Tuli Memorial and Charitable Trust.
On this occasion Priya Ghosh, the Director of the Ashram and the operator of Rashtra Mata Kshetram, was also felicitated.
Praising the social work done by the temple members the president of the program, Dr. Yashwant Patil, announced a grant of Rs. Five Thousand each to the above two institutions on behalf of COMHAD.
To make the program successful, there was cooperation of all the devotees including Shri P. Satyarao, Shri Sharad Sharma, Shri Shrikant Roy, Mahila Mandal of ancient Shiva temple, all the members of Durga Puja committee and officers and members of Ganapati Sena Utsav Mandal.
The program was compared by Dr. Pravin Dabli and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Manjusha Giri.
The organizers including Shri Prakashrao (Gundurao), Dr. Pravin Dabli, Shri P. Satyarao expressed their gratitude to all the donors.
COMHAD Diwali Celebration with Difference at Ashokvan, Dongargaon, Wardha Road, Nagpur, MS, India, 23-10-2022
Commonwealth Association for Health and Disability (COMHAD) an international organisation from United Kingdom, on the occasion of Diwali visited Ashokvan and celebrated Diwali with difference, with full of gratitude and blessings from the senior citizens of Ashokvan, at Dongargaon, Wardha Road Nagpur on 15 august 2021.
Ashokvan an old aged home run by Karma Yogi most respected Late Shri Baba Amte’s Trust on outskirts of Nagpur. Ashokvan home is specially meant for the curative treatment and rehabilitation of cured leprosy patients with their habitations in the premises.
On this occasion we distributed Sweets and Snacks packets to all inhabitants with kind help of Mr Vijay Patil Manager of Ashokvan. Around 50 inhabitant beneficiaries shared the joy of interaction & snacks along with coordinator and caretakers of the institution.
The Project was started by Late Baba Amte in 1956-57. Now the institution is run by Padmashree Dr Prakash Amte and Padmashree Dr Vikas Amte for the underprivileged people.
Dr Yashwant Patil International President COMHAD addressed the gathering. Dr Uday Bodhankar Executive Director COMHAD shared his golden words with all the inhabitants.
